Episode 39: Prevailing Over Cancer with Keith Bishop
Marilyn and co-host Dana with Villages OKC talk with Keith Bishop about what it means to prevail over cancer.
Keith Bishop is a Clinical Nutritionist, Cancer Coach, Author, and Retired Pharmacist with a deep commitment to cancer prevention and treatment through integrative approaches. Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Keith’s journey into the world of natural health began after witnessing the impact of cancer on his family. His wife and he both have a family history of early-onset prostate cancer, brain cancer, and neuroendocrine cancer, which led him to extensively review medical research in 1997 to find ways to reduce his and his wife’s own risk—this pivotal moment inspired him to sell his pharmacy in 1998 and focus on natural health. He has a clinical practice where he assesses a person’s challenge and customizes cancer prevention and treatment recommendations.
Keith is presenting a seminar on Inflammation and Prevailing over Cancer at the POSITIVE aging Program November 6th, 2024. Click here to learn more and to register for the seminars and lunch.

Keith also emphasizes the benefits of green tea and its active ingredient, EGCG, in targeting cancer stem cells.
In this conversation, Keith and Jen discuss the benefits of marine collagen, the effects of coffee on cancer, the safety of different sweeteners, and the controversy surrounding seed oils.
In this interview, Keith Bishop, a retired pharmacist and cancer expert, shares his journey into studying cancer and nutrition. He discusses the importance of nutrition in cancer prevention and treatment, particularly for breast cancer.
Nutrition plays a crucial role in cancer prevention and treatment. Cooking methods, such as browning and blackening, can produce chemicals that increase the risk of cancer. Fasting can help reduce blood glucose levels and improve overall health. Green tea has numerous health benefits and can help prevent cancer. Making gradual changes to diet and portion sizes can lead to long-term improvements in health.
